How do I contact Causal support?
Email support@causal.fitness from any device. Include your account email, your device and iOS version, and a short description of the issue. We reply to every message, typically within 2 business days.
How do I delete my data or my account?
Open the Causal app, go to the Pulse tab, and select Privacy & Data to delete your Causal data and account. This removes local records on the device and supported Firebase/Firestore account records. If you need help, email support@causal.fitness.
How does Causal use Apple Health (HealthKit) data?
Apple Health access is read-only. Causal reads sleep duration, resting heart rate, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) only after you grant permission, and only to generate personal wellness insights inside the app. Causal never writes to Apple Health and never uses HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or resale. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings or the Health app.
I'm having trouble signing in. What should I do?
Causal supports email-link sign-in and Google Sign-In. If a sign-in link expired, request a new one from the app. If you still cannot sign in, email support@causal.fitness with the email address on your account and we will help restore access.
Can I change or turn off check-in notifications?
Yes. Open the Pulse tab to adjust check-in frequency and your waking-hours window, so prompts only arrive while you are awake. You can also change notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Is Causal a medical device?
No. Causal is for personal wellness and educational purposes only. It is not a medical device, has not been evaluated by the FDA, and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified clinician before making medical decisions.
